The Accolade II isa Belgian jacquard wall tapestry. The artwork is from the 1901 painting by Edmund Blair Leighton (1853-1922). Leighton was the son of artist Charles Blair Leighton. The Accolade is just one of many of Leighton''s famed medieval and romantic designs. This particular design displays the ritual of knighthood.
