This Bracket lies across the top of the cabinet, half of the bracket will be inside of the cabinet and the other half will be exposed under the overhang. The vertical angle drops down on the inside back of the cabinets and is used to hold the T- Bracket in place until the granite is put in place. This will give your granite the appearance of floating once installed. The T-Bracket has a 45 degree beveled edge on both the front and the back ends of the brackets for added safety. T-Brackets do not have mounting holes in the top of the bracket itself, the mounting holes are on the vertical tang. Brackets are actually sized in length tip to tip, therefore an 18 inch bracket is 18 inches tip to tip on the horizontal piece, and the vertical piece will be in the center of the horizontal piece.The Hidden Granite Countertop Support T-Bracket is made of 1/2 inch thick by 2 1/2 inch wide American steel on the horizontal pierce. The vertical piece is 1/4 inch X 2-1/2 inch by 4 inch in length. Please Note: The vertical piece [tang] is placed in the center of the horizontal piece. Therefore, if you have a 10 inch bracket the vertical piece [tang] is directly in the center of the bracket, giving you 5 inches on each side of the T-Bracket. Meaning there will be 5 inches inside the cabinet and 5 inches on your overhang. Our Granite Brackets are protected with a premium anti-rust black paint.To Determine Length: Example: 12 inch overhang, minus 3 inch setback from outer edge, equals 9 inches, plus 9 inches for inside cabinet, equals 18" T-Bracket. The vertical piece will be placed in the center. [Note, if the back wall of the cabinet is thicker, you may need to add extra inches for the thickness].
