While each team was seeking its second national championship since the system began in 1998, the Seminoles rallied from an 18-point first-half deficit to defeat Auburn in a thrilling finale, with a final score of 34-31. This victory caps the year for the Seminoles, who won all of their prior games for the season by two or more touchdowns. This year''s BCS National Championship Game was hosted at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.
