This large wall sculpture is mesmerising in its complexity. There are two images at work here, the brown tiles revealing hints of one image while the crosshatched tiles introduce individual disruptions. There is a conflict between the two types which creates a third image, the disjointed and maze-like whole. This work is somewhat disconcerting and yet has a peaceful palette. A subtle but fascinating 3D effect is created by gaps between the tiles, adding another texture to this exciting work.
