This panorama captures the beginning of a new era of Detroit Red Wings hockey as Detroit battled the Minnesota Wild in the Inaugural Game at Little Caesars Arena on October 5, 2017. The Red Wings new home is part of the 50-block area that connects Downtown and Midtown into one contiguous, walkable space known as The District Detroit. The arena was designed to be as loud and intimidating as possible for opponents. The seats are closer to the ice, and the steep bowl and overhanging gondolas give fans a sense of being right on top of the action, all providing some of the best sightlines in the NHL.
