Alex Bertaina is a self-taught painter born in Turin (Italy) in 1963 and currently living and working in Cuneo. Since childhood drawing has been his prime channel of expression. In the 1980s he attended many impromptus, where he received flattering awards and was able to deal with different art forms and artists in depth. Since 1995 Alex Bertaina has expanded his views to the north of Italy, where while participating in various national competitions he met several critics including Professor Umberto Zaccaria, who presented his first monograph.
